Cameron Beyl’s Cosmic Horror Feature Starring Sean O'Bryan And Rebekah Kennedy Coming To VOD On October 4th
Los Angeles, CA – [September 12] – Buffalo 8 Distribution announced today they are releasing the festival hit cosmic horror The Veil, worldwide on VOD beginning October 4th, 2024. The genre-bending debut feature from director and writer Cameron Beyl stars industry veteran Sean O'Bryan (Olympus Has Fallen) and rising genre starlet Rebekah Kennedy (Two Witches), with Will Tranfo (HBO’s Room 104) rounding out the cast.
The Veil is produced by Kyle F. Andrews and Beyl on behalf of their recently announced production company FilmFrontier Studios, in association with Due North Pictures.
Bridging the divide between the horror and science fiction genres, The Veil is a haunting tale about the mysteries of identity and perception told in the cadence of the classic American ghost story. As a powerful solar storm descends on the valleys of rural Pennsylvania, bathing the rustic pines in the shimmering emerald glow of aurora borealis, a retired priest named Douglas (O’Bryan) rouses awake to urgent knocking at the door of his isolated farmhouse. His unexpected midnight visitor is Hannah (Kennedy), a young Amish woman desperate for shelter after a personal crisis drives her to flee her insular community.
The film had its world premiere at the HP Lovecraft Film Festival in Beyl’s hometown of Portland, OR, before screening as an official selection at the Austin Film Festival's 30th Anniversary Program and others. The film will also have a booth at HorrorCon LA , with cast and filmmakers in attendance September 14th and 15th.
“Cameron Beyl has created a haunting narrative that pushes the boundaries of horror and human emotion,” said Buffalo 8’s Nikki Stier Justice, Head of Distribution. “We are excited to share this immersive experience with audiences looking for a fresh take on the horror genre and look forward to their reactions.”
